ABOUT ABOUT

Workshop with John Greenleaf -

The workshop consists of ten 2.5 hour workshops
beginning July 1. Workshops are every Wednesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

WHO: Ages 8 (and +) and adults
COST: Classes are $5 each, payable before each class or through Ticketleap.
Payment up front for all classes is $40.

Participants will have the opportunity to

· Use Theatre Games to explore movement, trust, co-operation and concentration.

· Use Objective Imagery to explore character choices. Objective Imagery was developed by David Alexander as a rehearsal technique, using images of animals and inanimate objects to influence character and rhythm choices.

· Use Transformations to explore trusting ourselves to be creative without trying. Transformations, developed by Robert Benedetti, is a physical technique using repetitive movement to generate spontaneous moments of expression.

All of these techniques will be focused on the characters of our next youth production 'The Phantom Tollbooth'. You do not have to necessarily audition for that production in order to be involved. Being part of this workshop does also not gaurantee a role in the production.
