Winner of the 2011 Pulitzer and 2012 Tony Award for Best Play. In 1959, the impending arrival of a black family throws an all-white Chicago neighborhood into turmoil.  Fifty years later, gentrification of the now predominatly black neighborhood inflames the same tensions, in this "ferociouusly smart" (New York Times) and "pulverizingly funny" comedy-drama.

Restrictions

Please print out your confirmation and present it to the box office the night of the performance at least 10 minutes before the curtain. The box office opens 45 minutes before the performance. Friday nights the City of Escondido sponsors a special “antique” car events. Parking is often scarce so please plan accordingly. Arrangements can be made for ADA requirements or groups of 10 or larger by calling the theater at 760 746 6669. If you will need to place any special equipment (like wheel chairs, stroller, oxygen tanks, etc.) you are strongly urged to contact the box office at 760 746 6669 so we can plan accordingly.
