Drama by Eugene Ionesco - A rhinoceros barges through the peaceful streets of a small French village. Soon there are two, then three. The villagers obsess over “Was there one or two rhinoceroses?” “Did it have one horn or two?” One by one, the villagers transform into rhinoceroses simplifying their lives while complicating the lives of the remaining people. Should a woman divorce her rhinoceros husband? Can she collect insurance? In this absurd world, everyday situations erupt with explosive laughter and nightmare anxiety. Under the cover of absurdity and humor lie lessons of conformity, culture, mass movements, philosophy and morality.
