ABOUT ABOUT

Music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and book by Joseph Stein, Fiddler on the Roof is set in Tsarist Russia in 1905. It is based on Tevye and his Daughters and other tales by Sholem Aleichem.  Received Tony Awards for Best Musical and Best Score.  Includes favorites like Tradition!, Matchmaker Matchmaker, Sunrise Sunset, and more.   This production will take place outdoors, under the stars, at Kit Carson Park Amphitheater.  It can get chilly later in the evening so jackets, or light blankets and possibly bug spray are recommended. The gate will open at 7pm for individuals wishing to bring their own food and eat on the grass "picnic style" before hand.  Kit Carson is also just minutes away from dining at North County Mall. Seating is available directly in front of the stage in wide patio chairs, or in bleachers, or on the grass.  Private chairs with high backs are not permited. The concessions stand will provide light snacks and beverages for sale.   Parking is available inside the Park just outside the Amphitheater.
